Batangas. When non-Batangenyos hear the name of our province, they would think of the beaches, the kapeng barako, or the balisong, among the many trademarks we have been known for throughout the years.
But apart from those mentioned above and all the other things you have in mind, is the colorful celebration considered as the mother of all the festivals in Batangas — the Ala Eh Festival.
If Cebu has their Sinulog and Iloilo has their Dinagyang, Batangas has one Ala Eh Festival which characterizes the union of all the municipalities and cities of this one great province. This festival is in celebration of the province’s foundation anniversary held every December 8th.
